20/3 - International show in tampere, Finland: The 11 months old sisters; Maisa (Arctic Kees Basic Instinct) and Rana (Arctic Kees Beautiful Vision) both got Excellent and placed as 3rd and 4th in the junior class. Congratulations to you all!
17/3 - International show in Dublin: WOW! Carter is entered in puppy stakes and adult class. He takes 3rd best puppy dog in show out of about 30 boys (all breeds)! He gets his first CAC (Green Star) and Best male (Best of Opposite Sex) This international show is the Celtic Winner Show and Carter gets two titles as well; Celtic Jr. Winner 2010 og Celtic Winner 2010!!! Congratulations Maureen & Brian!!!

15/3 - Today we came back to Norway after spending a wonderful weekend in Birmingham together with Brian & Maureen Carroll at Lyntova Keeshonds. Crufts was an amazing experience and we will probably go back there someday. Carter (Arctic Kees Best Kept Secret) seems to have settled down nicely with his new family in Ireland and he gets along fine with their dogs. 3 days of training and off he goes to Irelands biggest show of the year, held on St. Patricks Day...
13/3 - International show in Vilnius, Lithuania: Jaana & Maisa (Arctic Kees Basic Instinct) takes it all!!! 11 months old Maisa's gets her first title; Lithuanian Junior Winner 2010! She is also Best of Breed and is picked out among the top 6 in the Group! Congratulations Jaana & Esa! Well done!!!

6/6 - We have had busy times here the last months and the website has not been updated as i wish it was.... For start we can proudly tell that Sonja (NORDJW-08 LVW-09 LVJCH Arctic Kees Ain't No Doubt) has been at 2 shows in Riga (Latvia) 13th-14th of june, hipp hurrah for Sonja who took 2 junior CAC, was latvian juniorchampion, 2 X BEST OF BREED og BIG 5 saturday!!!

The same weekend we went to the International show in Vejen, Denmark and to the netherland judge Joo Scheepers Silver took it all - Excellent, CAC, CACIB, BEST OF BREED and he is now Norwegian Champion, Finnish Champion, Danish Champion, Nordic Champion og after FCI's approval also International Champion! He has in the age of 14 months already achived to be a member of the group of Elite! Congratulations Barbara and Hans-Joachim and thank you for showing Anton to these levels! We are so incredible proud of you!

Our congratulations to Katrina, breeder Karin Hickson and the bitch puppy "Chivas" (Kichigai Moonlight Dancer) who won this competition with 320 points on their 12 shows.

Great news from Pia at Ikurin Kennel in Finland - Silver's puppies over there have now entered junior class. His daughter Ikurin Stella Maris who lives in Russia gained her first CAC this weekend! and Silver's son Ikurin Stella Polaris who has started to get well known in the rings in Finland, took his first CAC and also Best Of Breed! Well done and congratulations from all of us here in Norway!
7/9 - We have been at Steinkjer Hundeklubb's show this weekend and we are very happy with our dogs show results this weekend too. Judging the adult keeshonden was Harald Aune and he gave Aimee (NUCH FIN UCH NV-06 Clandara She's The One-Nz) Excellent and Best of Opposite Sex! Silver (NUCH FIN UCH Clandara Silver Starlight-Nz) got Excellent and he was runner up in the dog class. All the keeshondpuppies were judged by Marianne Holmli and Troy (Arctic Kees All The Man That I Need) gained his 8th Best Of Breed out of 8th shows this year!!! and our little princess Chanel (Arctic Kees Addicted To Love) was Best of Opposite Sex!

31/8 - A fantastic weekend for Arctic Kees at Trondheim Dog Festival! Saturday we showed 2 of our dogs. Troy (Arctic Kees All The Man That I Need) is 8 months old and still in the puppy class and he was Best of Breed and 4th Best in Group! Aimee (NUCH FIN UCH NV-06 Clandara She's The One-Nz) won the bitch class and was Best of Opposite Sex. Both classes was judged by Frank Kristiansen from Norway.

Tight over and under line. Well placed and well carried tail. Parallell legs with very good angulations. Excellent paws. Very good coat quality and promising colour. Powerful light-footed movements. 24/8 - It was a wonderful day for all of us at Arctic Kees! Today as well as yesterday it was mother and son who took it all! Aimee (NUCH FIN UCH NV-06 Clandara She's The One-Nz) got Excellent and was Best Of Breed. She also placed as Group 2 among 17 other dogs in the FCI group 5! Thank you Finn Arne for helping me out in the group ring and as always an excellent handling of our dogs! Silver (NUCH FIN UCH Clandara Silver Starlight-Nz) got Excellent and was Best of Opposite Sex! Troy (Arctic Kees All The Man That I Need) got an excellent critique from the breed judge Knut Helge Pedersen and he was Best of Breed Puppy! Chanel (Arctic Kees Addicted To Love) was Best of Opposite Sex in the puppy class! In addition to all this, Troy was Best in Group 5 and at the end of the day he impressed us all by being BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!! out of 83 puppies of all breeds!!! Thank you to the judge who followed us in all the breeding through the day; Knut Helge Pedersen, for making this day to one of the most wonderful days in our lives!

23/8 - We have just arrived home after being at a show all day. Nearly 700 dogs were entered to the very well organised show; arranged by Rana Trekk Og Brukshundklubb. We are very happy with our dogs' wins too - Aimee ( NUCH FIN UCH NV-06 Clandara She's The One-Nz) got Excellent and was Best Of Breed and Best In Group 2! Silver (NUCH FIN UCH Clandara Silver Starlight) got Excellent and was Best of Opposite Sex! 2 puppies from our latest litter were also showing today and I am proud to tell that Troy (Arctic Kees All The Man That I Need) took home Best Of Breed Puppy, Best In Group, and 3rd Best puppy In Show! Hipp Hurrah for Troy! Chanel (Arctic Kees Addicted To Love) was Best of Opposite Sex in the Puppy class! Could the day be any better? We would like to thank the judges Lokodi Zsolt and Jochen Eberhart for thinking so highly of our dogs!

14/7- Now we are home again after being 3 weeks at our cabin by the sea. We have been there but cannot really call it a vaccation...! We have been working day and night with the cabin we started building last august and now it starts to look like a cabin inside too, with floor and walls. Now we will take a break from this work and I will try to publish the keeshond magazine to all the members in the Norwegian Keeshond Club as usual. After beeing away from home for so long, it is lots and lots to catch up with when it comes to website and emails, but I'll take it step by step...

at Mo Hundeklubb's show the 25th of may 2008
25/5 - We have been to a dog show this weekend arranged by Mo Hundeklubb and it was a great weekend for us and our dogs! We started this morning with the two 5 months old puppies Troy (Arctic Kees All The Man That I Need) and Chanel (Arctic Kees Addicted To Love). The judge was Frank Kristiansen. Troy was Best Of Breed and Chanel was Best Opposite Sex. Then it was the grown up keeshonds. We only showed Silver (NUCH Clandara Silver Starlight-Nz) this time. The judge was Marit Sunde and Silver was Best Of Breed and got himself a very good critique!
Juniorhandling was the next activity on our program today. Morten (12 1/2 years old) showed Silver in the oldest group (from 10 to 15 years) and the two of them placed as a great number 2! Malin showed Aimee in the youngest group (from 6-10 years) who despite of her very little coat (because of 5 months old puppies) was picked up to be a part of the juniorhandling and they won their group among about 20 other children! Very proud parents were following them from the sideline, more nervous than ever before! Well done Morten and Malin. We are so proud of you!
Then it was time for the groups. Troy entered the group 5 for puppies like a cangaroo, to many peoples pleasure and he placed as Best in Group 2! Silver represented the breed in the group for adults and he was Best in Group 3! A great day for all of us!

21/4 - This weekend we have been at Norwegian Kennel Club's International Dog show in Harstad. Silver (NUCH Clandara Silver Starlight-NZ) was Best Of Breed with CACIB and Chari (Dein Hards Day By Day) got prize of Honour! Sissel, Chari og Troy have been visiting us for a couple of days and Chanel thought it was very nice to be seing her brother Troy again after being separated for two months and the two of them did their very best trying to turn our house upside down. 27/2 - Daily reports from Cleo and his family in Gjøvik tell us that he has become the master in his house, with lots of time for playing outside and he is also walking trips with "dad". Now we are quite excited to see how he is doing when he is going with "mum" at her job. We do hope that it will be fine too... 25/2 - A little report from Finland: This weekend it has been a party for our little girl Sonja in Finland and it looks like she is enjoying life there. Lots of new toys from mum's friends and we are told that she charmed everyone present at the party...

25/2 - Finally back home after a quite fatiguing trip from Mo I Rana to Gardermoen and back. That is 2000 kilometers in 3 days. 6 puppies were joining us in the car when driving south and we had expected a very noisy drive, but no - they behaved very well. 2 small accidents because we were not able to stop the car when the pups told us that it was time for a little pee-break outside! So we have to say that the trip of 1000 kilometers was easy. The pups slept a lot and when they didn't sleep the laid in the cages eating dried pig-ears. Hmmm that was good, they thought! We stopped for about every other hour, was putting up the puppy-yard and the little ones was alloud to run and play for a while until we had to continue driving. We spent the night in a cabin in Oppdal and the pups seemed to enjoy that. Some of these will be having such a life in their next years, driving to shows and spending nights in cabins probably...
Next morning we woke up feeling fine and we continued driving. We stopped in Gjøvik at Kari and Ola's place to deliver Cleo ("Arctic Kees A Bit O' My Heart") We got a fantastic dinner and spent a lot of time with them drinking coffee and chatting before we had to drive again. Thank you very much Kari and Ola. It was good after driving a long distance!
Late evening we arrived at gardermoen Motell Bed & Breakfast where we were going to spend the night. We were quite excited if the pups were going to keep all the hotell guests awake that night, but no - they behave well again. The fell asleep at 11.30 and stood nicely in their cages when we woke up next morning. First we were going to deliver Sonja ("Arctic Kees Ain't No Doubt") who was going to fly to her new family in Finland. She will be living with Jaana and two beautiful Kees-boys (INT & FIN & N & EST & DK & S CH NW-02, W-03, KBHW-03, WW-03 Foxteam Artemis and INT & FIN & S & EST & DK & N CH Foxteam Van Do)...Harald ("Arctic Kees Above The Law") was picked up by Hannele and her husband and will be living with a lot of wonderful Keeshonds in Finland at Greyscale kennel. In the middle of the day Barbara came all the way from Düsseldorf to Gardermoen airport to pick up her little kees-boy Anton ("Arctic Kees Affair V Alten Nierstal") and we spent several hours together at the airport chatting and drinking coffe before we had to go for delivering the last puppy: "Arctic Kees Another Level" who was sent with airplane from Gardermoen to Tromsø where he is going to live with Kirsti in Finnsnes.
Then we started driving home again with only little Chanel together with us. She slept and enjoyed herself all the way home together with Silver who was beside her now in his cage for her not to feel alone.We stopped at Oppdal again for a good night sleep and from there right to Troy ("Arctic Kees All The Man That I Need") and Chari in Beitstad to see if he had grown something during the days I hadn't seen him. What met me at the door was a little bigger ball of coat and the always precious Chari! Thank you very much Sissel, Mads, Tonje, Tuva and Mads Fredrik and 2 cats for giving those two a wonderful home...
Chanel ("Arctic Kees Addicted To Love") has already found her place togetehr with the rest of us at Arctic Kees and she shows us all the time that she belongs here. If mummy Aimee and daddy Rosso do agree all the time, I am not sure, because she does her best in terrorizing them all day! I think I have never seen such a patience before. Chanel loves to run and then jump on dad's head when he lays on the floor and then she bite his nose and he doesn't mind that at all. She also loves to lay on daddy's back for a nap and she almost disappear in all his coat...

18/2 - This weekend we have been to a dubbel show together with Sissel and Mads and 2 dogs. Together with us were Silver (Nuch Clandara Silver Starlight-NZ) and Chari (Dein Hards Day By Day) Chari is now 10 months old and she had her debute in the show ring this weekend. With a self-confidence and expression that everyone could envier her, she entered the hall in Fauske and she didn't seem to care about anything or anybody. I don't think that she would have moved her ears if the roof was falling down on her. I was quite excited to see how she would behave in the ring, since this was her first show and I was quite a stranger to her. I haven't seen her since she was 8 weeks old, but she did WELL!!! Saturday we entered the show in junior class to the Latvian judge Rita Kadike-Skadina. Chari was running like she never should be doing anything else than this and by gaining the CAC and BOS and a wonderful critique we were quite surprised as this result was not expected on such a young girl! Silver got CK and placed as runner up.
Then Sunday and a new show. This day the judge was Claudio De Giuliani from Italy. First the males, Silver was best male and then the bitches turn in the ring and Chari got the CAC today as well in competition with 3 other bitches. Chari placed as runner up and Silver was Best Of Breed! We are very very happy with this weekends show results!!!

4/1 - Our precious puppies are now 6 weeks old and we are very satisfied with them. Well built, solid pups. They now leave their puppy yard a couple of times every day to explore the rest of the house. It's very funny to play with daddy Rosso and they love to pull his big and fuzzie tail. We have also started to train them in a cage. That will help them when they are leaving for their new homes in a couple of weeks...

19/1 - Amazing how fast the time goes when you are enjoying something! Our puppies are 4 weeks old tomorrow and they have now started to eat real food. They are growing fast and they seem to be enjoying life so far. Today they are going to move from our bedroom and into the livingroom. It will be exciting to see what they think about that. They are a really naughty gang who are looking up at you when you enter the room to look at them and then they all start to shout - "Please let us out of here"
"Do you know how to get out of this thing?"

5/1 - Finally we have our PC back. It broke down in December and that is why our web-site has not been updated for a long time. If anyone have sent us e-mails we have not been responding to, please send them again. We may not have got them on the borrowed PC...
